Designer Tissue Boxes

This week at Heart 2 Heart, we are having a "From Your Heart to Ours" challenge.  It's "Show and Tell"!  We want you to show us something you've created for your home or a home decor item, and tell us what you love about it!  This can be something new you create, or something you've already made...but it must include mostly CTMH products.

I have many home decor items made from CTMH products, but I'm going to share a couple of my tissue box covers because these haven't made it to my blog yet:

This one was made using G1022 CTMH Mayberry Workshop kit, which includes the fruit and flowers stamp set!  This box cover is in my kitchen, and it's my way of injecting a little bit of spring into the room :)  Don't you just love these spring colors?

This one is in my family room, and I love the rich colors.  It matches my furniture.  It's made using X7128B Olivia Level 2 Paper Pack, and D1436 The Present stamp (one of my faves).

I'm not sure if one can call tissue box covers 'home decor', but I like them because I can make them to match my rooms, and I buy whatever tissue is on sale to refill them instead of trying to find tissue boxes that aren't hideous.  I need to make a few more... the sky's the limit when decorating these!

Here are a couple of tutorial links for you:
There is a tutorial available at Splitcoast Stampers that is very helpful to make small square tissue box covers, and you can go to ehow for instructions to make any size box and decorate it as you want.

You have to check out what the awesome gals on the design team have made to inspire you!  These gals amaze me every week, and I am thrilled to be on a DT wth them. Their names and blog links are listed on my sidebar, and are also at H2H.

So, we want to see some fabulous CTMH home decor items that you've made!  Tell us what you love about them!  Link up your pics at Heart 2 Heart.  You have until the end of the month to play along.  The more you play, the more chances you have to win a fabulous prize from our sponsors Angie Parchey and Lori Brown.  Remember, your project must include mostly CTMH products, and please link to the page of your project (not to your blog home page) so we can find it!

Here are some past items I have posted that I would also call home decor.  You can click on the caption under the pic to go to the post if you want the details.

This first one is from the VERY 1ST H2H Challenge, I'm so happy this challenge has caught on and is growing every week :)
BIG hugs to Mary for hosting the H2H Challenge Blog!

  18. FUNN post, Miss Lorrinda! I really like the thank you bouquet - always have had a soft spot for old tin watering cans. Bought one at a garage sale as a kid! I envisioned daisies in it.
Thanks for the memory and the pretties.
