I decided to do a throw down challenge card, and use
- the sketch for the CAS83 challenge at Splitcoat stampers,
- the colors from the H2H color challenge which are
- and the first stamp I saw in my craft room (which happened to be this a tree stamp because it was still on my table from the last card I made)
If you tend to overthink your cards like I do, you should try a throw down challenge too! Grab a sketch, pick 3 colors, and reach into your stamp box with your eyes closed. See what happens, you may be pleasantly surprised!
This card took 11 minutes from start to finish...

This is a really pretty card, love the tiled effect. That sunset sure does draw you in.
ReplyDeleteWell done, how great is this! I really like that colour combination too.
ReplyDeleteThank you too for the wonderful blog award you passed on to me.
LOVE that card. How did you get the moon and the hill stamped?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments.
ReplyDeleteTrish - I should have mentioned in my post. First I sponged Honey ink onto a square of white cs, then I masked off the moon with a circle, and sponged the terracotta ink over the whole square, then stamped the tree in new england ivy. Then I tore a scrap of paper in the shape of the hill, and masked the scene, then I sponged new england ivy ink to make the hill. When done, I cut the square into 4 equal tiles, then mounted it onto a card blank. Easy peasy...
Wow, awesome! The colors are so pretty on this and I can't believe it only took you 11 minutes! Whew!
